Apparantly the word "chillaxin" is on the "should be banned" list in some University. :D I didn't even know it existed. It's chillin + relaxin = chillaxin. heehee.
that's what i'm doing these days though...chillaxin. :D

Dissapointed :(

I'm kindda dissapointed.

I live in an area where all the paki population is so small that everyone knows eachother.

And there are about 4 girls around my age that i always hang out with. (yes ONLY four)

1 of them had a b-day party recently. (like today)

And LC wasn't invited.

And i'm not greatly UPSET or CRYING or anything. :D just dissapointed.
I mean i can't expect much 4m them when i tell EVERYONE that my best friends are my nonmuslim friends; Even my sis agrees that my nonmuslim friends are like the sweetest people in the world. Certainly better than the 4 muslim paki friends i have in my town.

But still...it's dissapointing. :(

Fort Hood

I don't know how famous this got world wide- but if your in America you know for sure: Last week Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan killed 7 and wounded 13. (or #'s close to that)
Name seem familiar? Yep, he was a muslim. Supposdly scared of being deployed to Iraq/somewhere-like-that.
Also supposdly- he said "ALLAH AKBER" while shooting.
And while we cry out loud so much to say that Muslims ARE NOT all terroists. That no where in our religion is killing the way to go. Neither is JIHAD have anything to do with the war. But then we get people like this. How can you stop people from coming up with stuff like this, when the guy acted so religious, was an active part of his local mosque, and talked about Islam all the time during his job?
This article from the link (above), is written by some Canada guy named Salim Mansur. His name sounds very Muslim to me too but lets not look at that right now. He said...
" ...no mistaking that Nidal Hasan went out as an Islamist warrior to kill as many infidels before he found his martyrdom. "
and
"...Islamist terrorism is not an alien off-shoot within Muslim history. It is instead a mutation of a violent strain of Muslim religious thought and practice that might be traced back to the earliest years of Islam. "
and
"...For Islamists, religion is politics and national identity and the purpose of their jihad until victory or death is to establish in the here and now Islamic rule associated with Muhammad and his companions in the first. "
to end off with...
"...Nidal Hasan acted on his Islamist belief as did the 19 Arab-Muslim terrorists on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. He should be considered a war criminal and not a tragic victim of some mental illness and what he did was treason against his country.."

Any muslim reading this right now should be in a fit of rage.
WOW.
so we have people like Organica who do random nice deeds so this type of sterotype won't be made-
but what the whole world reads and hears is what the man above stated.

Oh, btw- this article is the 1st result from google when you search, "Fort Hood".

Please work to stop this steroptype- show the world that this isn't what Islam is about.

Hi! ☺ Like my symbols? I 'discovered' them the other day. (I'll give the codes at the end of this post- it only works if your laptop/computer has a numeric keypad)

Anyhow...have you read Alisha's Allhamdulillah List? I found it very inspiring!!!! Lovely post, Alisha!!!

This Saturday I asked my sis if we can go to the mall (nearby) cause i didn't have much to do.
So we went- it was fun. I like to hang out with my sis- esp. at that Mall. We spent a bunch of time in Sephora, since my sis wants a new mascara. :) We found a mirror that made us both look very pretty. We REALLY wanted to take it home- what's better than a mirror that always uplifts ur self esteem? heehee.
Then we went to this other beauty shop for a couple minutes, and then to Panera Bread. I convinced my sis because i love the Med. Veggie and [raspberry] mango shake there! Plus it's more fun. She was not interested in spending $$$ but what-ever. :P Oh, btw- if u've never been to Panera Bread and had the Med. Veggie ur missing out on a TON of goodness. :)

Hmm....it's doce y uno. More like medianoche (midnight in spanish). Maybe I should sleep?

heehee.

Adiós!

PS.
Here's the codes. (remember- only works if u have a numeric keypad)

such a bad blogger!

yes-indeed.
No, nothing happened. Life is [fortunately] very normal.
I mean my social studies teacher did say Jihad and Terrorists in the same sentence- and i was so very mad-but i suppose that's normal??? idk...i mean it's the first time and so it's not normal.
Nvm- I'm over it until he says something else. :P

I'm recording Video Cd's on my dad's computer so my mom can listen to them in her car. This is VERY boring cause each track is 30 min. long!!!!!
ugh...
well i hope Specs has a lovely and happy marriage-Liya finds her apple (MaYbE :P)-UltaSeedha: it's really sad what is going on in pk...that's another reason y the jihad thing made me mad- and Alisha keep cooking!
that was because i haven't done ANY blogging 4 like ever.

:)

....

has everyone met people that cannot share their friends? How do you react to it? What if the person is your 'friend'...but they r jealous when u spend time with another person that is both of your friends?

or is this all just a big teenage phase and my 'friend' is not out of it yet?

my sister says i'll meet lots of people in this world that can't share friends. so it must not be a teenage phase.

she thinks i should ignore them and be happy with my friends without thinking of what others think. what do you guys think?

No more Beautiful.... :(

It comes to an end....not because September is over but i missed pretty much a week in writing. :P
Oh...this week was hectic- homework, sleep, dentist appointment, and whatever else. :) It is truly HARD to write EVERY DAY! I don't know how everybody in NaBloPoMo does it!
I could go back and schedule posts for the missed days- but that would be like cheating.
Hmm.....I don't know what to talk about. Dora is in a cocoon and she will be out soon... i was gonna bring her home over the weekend, but I forgot! :( You can see her butterfly wings through the cocoon- it's really cool!!!!
Anything else? Not really. Well there could be and I could also talk about how much I'm STILL not happy with this school year but there is no point...I can't wait 'till High School w/ my friendos.
That is all then. Bye bye!

Beautiful (20)

Eid Mubarak! :)
(and early Eaid Mubarak 4 those of u in Pakistan and nearby :P)

Fun, fun, fun....<3 my clothes and can't wait to start attending parties (even though there's only two) :P

Here's what I've done so far...

I got up at 5:45 and heard my ANNOYING alarm across the room and thought it was something of my sisters. Then after coming to senses i realized it's my own alarm and for some reason it's ringing like every other minute. UGH! First i tried to go back to sleep by closing my ears, but didn't work. Then i got up and closed it. And then i went back to sleep.

Then i woke up at 6: ?? something. Got ready. Went to the mosque- all my friends were like, "Oh my gosh, ur wearing half-sleeves?" (i brought a sweater for namaz) idk y they were so surprised- I DO wear half-sleeves every now and then. Ate donuts, and then just walked around. It got kindda boring cause my friends were too busy eating MORE donuts ( i ate one and was FULL - i can't eat many donuts at once) and it was WAAY too crowded. They were having some big "Eid Mela" thing in some field for the 1st time- but everyone is so used to coming to our big community center/mosque and plus it was raining, i don't think many people attended the field eid namaz.

Now i'm at home- my Eid-ee got raised!!! so i earned A LOT of money today. Like A LOT. So much that i'm just like WOW. :P I don't feel like giving details on just HOW MUCH it is. :) heehee.

later we will go to parties. Last Eid was Bakra-Eid (pakistani nickname) (next Eid) and somebody had died recently that like EVERYONE knew...so nobody had parties- it was a sad eid. Now people r ready to do some parties! :) yay!

Love Mehendi too! :)

Happy Eid! :)

Beautiful (16)

LC is proud of herself. :P
If you were following my blog on Pinksea, you would know that during last year, i was very worried and annoyed with the Standardized Testing we had to take. The one we took in the second semester was SO hard!! We ALL thought we would fail it.
Well, the results came in and Yay! I did pass! :P I'm sure most all of my friends did too...passing isn't really hard. (cause it's like 60% and above) However, i was looking over my answers for the thing. (they scan your test booklet and u can see it online- most of it at least) And I was looking at the Math's section. The problems seemed SO HARD when i took it- but my answers were actually really good, & probably right! I was so surprised!!! And while I was looking at them i couldn't figure out NOW how to do the problem. Haha...i think as time goes by i'm just getting unsmarter then. ;)
Just had to express my opinions on that. :) But now I think i'm gonna totally fail this year's Standardized Testing. :(

Beautiful (13)

Today LC has a tag!

 (by Liya!)

I'm just going to add some rules just so it's easier to pass on.

Write AT LEAST 10 things you are thankful for. :) Then pass it on to at least 2 people!

 1. I am probably most thankful to be raised a Muslim. The people who convert are very brave to oppose their families & society and I don't think I would be THAT brave. I'm happy that I didn't have to make such a big decision to get into the right world.

2. Allhamdulillah I have such a supportive family, and such great friends that do so much just for me.

 3. Thankfully, i have such easy access to necessities. I've never had to crave for shelter, water, food, etc.

4. I am not forced to do anything. I have the choice of what I want to be (later in life and now).

5. Besides necessities, i have so much more that I could probably live without, but I have such an abundance of it. Education, extra-curricula activities, transportation, computers, tv's, and new stuff when anything stop slightly working.( so spoiled, right?)

6. And all that is awesome but I'm even happier to not have been born in a family that had just so much money that I started abusing it. I was taught to cherish what I have and not to be greedy- THAT  is v. important.

7. Oh, after all those philosophical things, i just have to add this. I'm so very thankful to have Dora. :P

8. And while I'm on the lighter note, I'm glad to have an older sister. :) It's like having another mother, and she's shaped my life up a lot!

9. Oh, and i'm so thankful to not be a SHY person. I love being happy and outgoing and ...special. :) I love my extra toe.

10. No health problems whatsoever. No allergies even. Such a perfect life...

11. Just another thing b4 this post is way to long...i love to be multicultural. Pakistani, American. My city is awesome- I love where i live- not too much crime so i'm scared to go out at night.

Once I get to the teeny stuff ...there are just SO many things. But i will stop now, cause I think you get the idea. :)

I tag...Alisha's Thoughts and Miss Specs. Those two just because i think they do follow my blog. :)

Bye!

Beautiful (12)

Hmm....what should i write about???
I'll give you a couple funny jokes. :P

Shopping Frenzy

I was browsing in a souvenir shop when the man next to me struck up a conversation. Just as he was telling me that his wife was getting carried away with her shopping, a brief power shortage caused the lights to
flicker overhead. 'That,' he sighed, 'must be her checking out now.'

:P

Who is this calling?

The local high school has a policy that the parents must call the school if a student is to be absent for the day. Kelly (name changed to protect the guilty), deciding to skip school and go to the mall with her friends waited until her parents had left for work and called the school herself. This is the actual conversation of the telephone call.
Kelly: "Hi, I'm calling to report that Kelly so-and-so is unable to make it to school today because she is ill.
Secretary at high school: "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I'll note her absence. Who is this calling?"
Kelly: "This is my mother."

 :D...and my favorite chain mail...

Beautiful (11)

Just squeezing in a post!!! :)

Let me quickly go over the highlights of today!!! :)

*tarawi was looong! They did 1 1/2 sipara instead of one! Do all mosques do that so they can finish on the 27th?

*9/11/09....eight years later, there is a slight change. This morning on Channel 1 News (teenage news that we watch in school) they said there is a person who was a firefighter during the 9/11 attack (in New York). Now, he does motivational speeches around the GLOBE, telling people that 9/11 is not a time to be mad. It should be positive motivation to do good. He actually influenced a ton of people...just after hearing it people in my school were like, "I wanna plant a tree- cause u know the guy said we should do good things on 9/11" and "I wanna do this- etc. etc." . Cool, hunh?

*Dora's back home!!!! ...and she HUMONGOUS! :) I saw how she eats today- her mouth opens up quite like ours!!! I think she'll be a cocoon soon! I'll try to post up recent pics of her soon!

Okay that's it...i suppose. :P Have a great weekend!

10 days remaining in Ramadan!!! (nice pic from google right? :P)
Kindda sad...this was actually a pretty gud Ramadan for me!
Okay...today i wanted to share a cool way to wear ur hijab. I was bored the other day and searched youtube for new hijab 'fashions'. There were a LOT but i tried two and liked one of them. Here it is:
Today i tried this with a white and pink scarf. It's on your personal choice whether you like it or not- i did, but not everyone does! :P

Beautiful (9)

Happy 09-09-09!!! I couldn't manage a blog post at 9:09, like Super Humaira, but the date is still cool!
I can't wait for 10-10-10, 10:10 p.m.!!! I like the number 10 :P heehee.
So...this is pretty late- just squeezing in for NaBloPoMo! :)
Today i'm gonna give you a poem I wrote. One of my former teacher's husband got brain cancer last year (and for some reason I didn't know this when i WAS in her class last year) and i was so saddened by it ALL WEEKEND! :( She has a freshman and 7 year old...without a father...it would be horrible! Anyhow, i wrote her a poem. I really don't care if people go copying this- so I'm posting it here to see if you guys like it.

The pain from a sickened soul,
                                       is unbearable...
                    The fear of the worst,
                             makes every moment terrible...
                    Communication with others,
                          seems to be blue...
                    But remember to be strong,
or else life's fears my become true

I'm not sure if i should give it to her or not. I would give it anonymously if i did...what do you guys think? Suggestions would be wonderful. :P

Beautiful (8)

haha...the last post was horrid. Nablopomo-ing is very fun, but i really can't think of things to say EVERYDAY. The funny part is, i'm so used to blogging everyday i've been writing in my diary daily too (for a couple days) and believe me, that's AMAZING, because i go months without writing in my diary!
soo... i'm sure most bloggers don't have diary's too. Or do they? I keep one because diary's are private thoughts-things that u feel but aren't ready to tell the world. Sometimes it's just an event recorder for me. It's interesting to read back on past events and laugh at myself for being so horribly immature :P

oh! I do have something to tell. Today President Obama did a speech for K-12 kids. This speech was SO conterversial even BEFORE he did it. I did watch part of it and got the rest from other people, but seriously, y can't people just sit still and get over the fact that their wanted president didn't get elected? And y was everyone so worried that's he'll say something 'bad'? I mean, what, is he gonna brainwash us into siding with him in everything he does? Obviously NOT! He just wanted to tell all the kids (esp. students thinking of dropping out) how important education is. Idk...i don't really support the President too much...but people need to stop being so picky! seriously!
(below) the whole speech deal. :P u might wanna forward it until obama comes on...

Long Weekend! Yahoo! I slept in a TON, am very hungry, and have two major things to say. :P
#1: I put up a poll at the top of the sidebar. Please let me know if these colors (neon colors upon black blackground) hurts ur eyes. :) I will make the nessessary changes then- if it does. :P
#2. Caterpillers! Last Wednesday, i went with my biology teacher and got Monarch Caterpillers. There population is going down because bigger insects are infecting them. So humans are growing them up in saftey. :) Well, last weekend i didn't bring mine home because it was too small. But on this three day weekend, i did becaues it's soooo cute now! My friend on the bus LOVED it. :P The pic isn't of her, but that's how "she" looks. I named her Dora and call her "she" cause i like girls. :P You can't tell if it's a boy/girl until it becomes a butterfly. :) Oh...i should make a movie of her filding around in her little house. :P (Well...there's another beautiful thing!)

Beautiful (4)

Yay, I'm on the blogroll on NaBloPoMo! :) Yay. But there's a LOT more people on the blogroll than when i checked last time! :D

:D I got my lovely ring too. It's awesome!!!!! :)

I have nothing else to talk about. I talked to my friend for like 45 min. about NOTHING. I'm such a bore today.

Oh well my bus driver did  change. And it's horrid! She's all like, NOTHING IN THE AISLES, I'M GONNA WRITE U UP IF U DON'T QUIET DOWN,  ETC!!!! And we weren't even that loud (no i'm not lying...we were all using our "inside voices" as she called it, even before she told us to) Yeah...our old one quit this morning. :( she was so nice. I hope they change the lovely women we got...or it's gonna be a looooooong year.

That's about it...3 Day weekend, and i'm so excited! :) Hopefully i'll have it fun and exciting. At least i'll finish a couple books. (i'm currently reading Book Theif but i wanted to suggest 13 Reasons Why b4 i put that on my Currently Reading)

ttyl! :)

¡Hasta mañana!

Beautiful (3)

So I don't really have lots of time- actually am on my sister's computer. I have to study for a Biology quiz- and being the 1st this year, I have to study harder than normal because i have no idea if this biology teacher will have HARD tests or OKAY tests. Then i have some Spanish Homework, and I have to fill out a Student Council form. (and that thing is lengthy!!!)
Yeah...pretty busy. The fundraiser WAS catchy- since all the prices were either the same or MORE than the actual prices (not 80% off like they said it was-i checked online) and I didn't get a cool ring YET. I will tom. Everyone had them during school today so I know i want either the purple one or the lime green one. The guy that went to get our class some was like the 1st person so the teacher there was confused and didn't know she had to give us rings with the airheads. :P

Okay, well i gotta go! :)
Airheads aren't really BEAUTIFUL but oh well...have a nice day! :)

Beautiful (2)

Second day....hmm....I'm not up on the NaBloPoMo website blogroll yet...i'll wait until tomorrow and then try to contact them to see why.

Today we learned about a magazine fundraiser we have to do for school. Normally school fundraisers are horrible door-to-door things. But this one, you only gotta have 1 (yes, ONE order!!!) to get a prize and just a teeny bit more to get some more. And it invovles BIG prizes. Anyhow, everyone got pulled into the whole thing and was like "omg! I'm so doing this so i can get $100!" etc. I wasn't getting too hyper about it...cause i figured there just had to be a catch with all the big prizes. I mean, what was the school gonna earn on profit if they gave so much money away in prizes?
Anyhow...so I was looking at the catalogue for magazines (it has like EVERY american magazine) and saw some woodworking ones. So I asked my Industrial Tech. teacher if he wanted to buy one. He was really interested and actually did! Then so did my soon-t0-be computers teacher! Now, the way it works, it's a bill-me-later thing. These teachers can reject the bill later and unsubscribe. But, whether or not they pay, i still got TWO orders! Now i get this random light up ring- (pic above) and maybe some big prize. But as i said b4, there's probably a catch and if not there is still 1/1000 chance. Like i'll get it. :P but the light up ring is good enough for me!!!! :P

Beautiful! (1)

Yep, i'm part of NaBloPoMo now!
The deal is: write 30 posts in 30 days- every day of the month.
www.misspecs.wordpress.com did this last month, and it was very interesting! :) So i decided i would do it too...let's see how it goes!
The topic for September is: Beautiful. I love the pic they have for it (sidebar). The moon fits perfectly with Ramadan.
Hmm.....beautiful. There are lots of things beautiful. I'll leave you with a picture i find very beautiful....

kindda breathtaking too...don't you think?

7 hours.....

I am soooooooooo hungry! I had gotten used to it in one week...sehri, sleep, school, sleep, iftari, tarawi, sleep (sounds like a lot of sleep-but it's only 30 min-4 hours each) but now with the whole day in front of me...i am so bored and hungry!!!!! ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Well, let me try to keep myself entertained for another 7 hours...:P

Resuming from PinkSea

I want to resume right from where i was in PinkSea. Here is the last post i did there...

So, since it's ramadan i thought it would be good to do a ramadan tag that i found.
Here it is:
Show five places that you want to pray in (and it cannot be Mecca or Medina) BE CREATIVE!
1)
Clouds!

wouldn’t it be lovely to pray on a soft place…with air going by? (forget the fact that up, up there it’s really cold!) yes i’m being creative and searching images from google. :P but seriously-i love thinking about being able to be on a cloud…
2)
Fluffy Carpet!
that is one FLUFFY carpet. if it was brand new (and clean!) i’d love to pray on it!
3)
Cute Janamaz!
omg that’s a cute janamaz/praying mat!!! take out the fish and i would LOVE to pray on it. :P so cute
4)

this is a real pretty pic! imagine praying somewhere where the ocean air is going bye, and u can hear water sloshing near. :) i love the ocean. :D (and the sunset is putting such pretty light on your janamaz, which is laying on the dock....awww)
5)
bedroom
okay all those places are pretty cool but praying in my own bedroom is awesome…(and this bedroom from google looks quite nice too…but i’ve seen better ones :P )
i tag anyone reading this…esp. someone from my “favorite blogs” page. :D
